I still remember that day …. I was 4 years old and they were
giving out fliers for special music lessons at my kindergarten. I
took one home and showed it to my mom. “ Can I take lessons?” Mom
said I was too young for piano lessons so she told me to wait another
year. So year passed and about the same time the following year (I
was 5), I brought home the same flier and said, “OK, MOM!!
I can go now, right?”
That was the beginning of the adventure…
I have played so many wonderful songs and sometimes cried as I was
playing. I have played with so many great musicians that they gave
me chills every second. -------Music is truly a big part of me and
my life. I feel so blessed to be able to play and create music everyday.
I have to say writing songs is a very magical experience. Song has
to come to me and the moment has to be right for it to come.
I wear many hats like all the other women do. Keyboardist, Vocalist,
Producer, Arranger, Mom, and Lover…. Mom’s hat is a really
heavy one but brings so much joy at the same time. I love singing,
too. Especially background vocals… I love harmonies.
Most exciting concert I’ve ever played? That’s a hard
question to answer.
If I must answer, I’d say that the first show I played for
Chaka Kahn in Portland. I kept pinching my cheek to see if it was
a dream.
Well, I hope you got to know me a little better. Please enjoy the
songs you hear and also check out some pictures…
